We trace our roots back to 1955 and our grandfather, Patrick Leone. Patrick created a business he hoped would help Syracuse and Central New York families and keep his own family in the business. He called his business Leone Plumbing and Heating.
Patrick loved the plumbing business so much he helped form the Onondaga Plumbing Association. His connection to other plumbers in the area helped as he became active in assuring that codes were up to date for this area. In the mid-1960s, his sons began working for Patrick and the company changed its name to P.A. Leone & Sons Plumbing and Heating, Inc.
Patrick’s passion for plumbing was passed on to his sons Rick and Ed who joined the family business.
Both sons brought their talents to different parts of the business. Ed maintained and grew his father’s clients by creating relationships with small businesses and residents in Syracuse and Central New York. Rick went on to become the youngest master plumber in Onondaga County. He took his expertise in planning and expanded the business to focus on multi-million dollar construction projects. Both sons put their talents to use in design-build and plan & spec projects.
Leone & Sons has stayed a family business focusing on quality. Rick’s sons Brent and Ross and Ed’s son Dan, a plumbing inspector, joined the team and all work in every aspect of the business. Like their fathers and grandfather before them, their focus is on quality in all of their work. On each of their job sites, master plumbers and journeymen are a part of every crew, making sure the work they do is of the finest quality.
Some of the business’s earliest multi-million dollar projects included many buildings that are easily recognized in Syracuse and Central NY. They include Arrowhead Lodge, Porche Audi on Erie Blvd (the glass building on Erie Blvd. that is now Taylor Rental) and Butler Correction Facility in Red Creek.
PA Leone & Sons is a full-service contractor with expertise in all areas of residential plumbing and commercial building design and service. In our over 65 years in the business, there is no problem we have not seen and fixed in all of Syracuse and Central New York. We are professionally licensed, bonded, and insured.
